Why I built ErfinderWerk.
I am Martin Wagner, a mechanical engineer by training. Since 2008 I have been working in industry on patents, in advanced development, in systems engineering and in project management. While preparing invention disclosures and patents, I noticed many things that ErfinderWerk is meant to solve.

The problem I observed
In day-to-day business, it is hard to work on patents on the side. Capturing an idea, wording it properly, making sketches and finally providing the patent attorney with usable documents takes time that is rarely available in a project. On top of that, the work is spread across Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the CAD system. As a result, good ideas are left lying around or reach the attorney incomplete.
The product idea
This is exactly where ErfinderWerk comes in: you work out your ideas in a structured way, check them early against the prior art and prepare the wording with AI support. The patent attorney receives pre-structured documents instead of loose notes. That raises the filing and the collaboration to a different level of quality.
What I want to achieve
Inventing should be possible alongside your actual work with little effort, and in one platform: idea, material, drafting, invention disclosure and handover to the patent attorney are connected instead of stalling at every transition. Drawings are still made in the CAD system, but they find their place here. Keep using what already exists: presentations, reports, sketches and measurement data from the project become the basis of the invention instead of being typed in again. AI helps structure ideas and develop them further; the thinking stays with you. And inventor remuneration should be calculated in a traceable and fair way, for inventors as well as for companies.
