Patent law firms

Client and law firm in the same case.

Clients and patent attorneys work on the same invention case. You do not start with a stack of documents, but with a technical model of the invention that you review and develop further together.

Market launch Q4 2026 Collaboration with law firms starts at market launch in the fourth quarter of 2026; the full law firm package follows afterwards.

Two ways into the same case.

The law firm creates the case

You open an invention case without your client having to be a paying customer first. The client receives approved, free viewer access.

The client invites the law firm

Anyone who has already worked out an invention in ErfinderWerk invites their law firm. Review, revision, questions and versions all run in the same case.

The technical model, not just a document.

Features, working principles and alternatives are building blocks that you can follow and comment on, instead of reading them out of running text. The technical groundwork is fully available to you: visual invention workspace, features, draft claims, figures and description.

Handover package. Exporting a handover package remains an option if you want to transfer the status into your own law firm system.

Review, approvals and versions.

  • Technical review with comments and questions directly on the feature.
  • Structured claims and description, supporting research and figures as the basis for your drafting.
  • Roles and versions: you see who changed what and which state is approved.
  • Case and team management for your law firm, export to prepare the filing.

Viewers, credits and cost bearers.

Free client viewer

The client sees the approved file, versions and status. Editing and their own AI actions are not part of the viewer role.

Credit pool and cost bearers

Your law firm maintains a credit pool. Every AI action has a named cost bearer; cost approvals are explicit.

No double charging

If an invention moves from the client to the law firm or vice versa, it is not charged twice. A company can contribute credits after approval by its administration.

The features overview explains the viewer as a role, not as a separate plan.

Responsibility stays with you.

The AI takes on no attorney responsibility and guarantees neither patentability nor patent quality. Examination, advice and filing remain your task. Access to ErfinderWerk does not create a mandate; the formal mandate remains a separate agreement between client and law firm.

On confidentiality: data sheet, confidentiality commitment and the page AI and data protection. The directory of experts is described on the page Expert network.
